I use the spray to condition my leather tack and I carry the wipes in my trailer so I can wipe my tack down when I put the tack back in after riding. It keeps everything supple and gets the dust and grime off after using the tack. I give the wipes to my friends to wipe their saddle and bridle and now they are all using them too!
I prefer to keep the leather clean & use this product to conditions the leather, and leave a more natural appearance (like it looks when new). Many other products leave a slick, shinny surface coating that can build-up over time, and does nothing to actually condition the leather.
I love how this conditions my chairs. It is an effort to spread and buff. I WOULD NOT use on a vehicle. This was harder to spread and absorb evenly in my Silverado. I had to get another product, Meguiars leather conditioning wipes, to clean up the Lexol mess.
I have been using Lexol for so long I don't remember when it wasn't on the market. We always used Murphy's on leather harness's bridal etc. I have a Tex Tan saddle that is probably probably 30 + years old and it still looks awesome by using Lexol it continues to be in great shape.
This product is great.I bought this conditioner after reading some of the reviews to use on a 97 cl 500 mercedes I brought and as soon as I sprayed it on the seat they began to look brand new. if you are looking for a great product to bring anything old back to life this will work.
I bought this to treat a Frye Leather purse that I had washed after an incident with a rescue dog (yes, the dog poo'd right IN my purse). After washing in water with Murphy's Oil Soap, drying in front of a fan, and then treating with this leather conditioner- - it's like brand new again. Highly recommend Lexol (spray on your soft cloth and rub in, don't spray it on the item you're conditioning).
I have been using Lexol on my tack for almost 40 years. Everyone loves the way my leather looks and feels and asks how I keep it so soft. It even brings old dried up leather back to life. I have bought used saddles and bridles that were so dry they would crack it you touched then and used Lexol to recondition them and then used them or resold them for more money. I recommend Lexol to everyone that asks how to better care for thier tack.
Very satisfied with the product. Price on line was $2.00 more than in the store. It was always out of stock in the store so I ordered it with delivery to store. When it came in I paid for it and went back to where it should have been and there was a shelf full of the stuff but for $2.00 less. So I returned the one from the on line purchase and got one off the shelf.
I like to use Lexol leather cleaning products because they are safe to use on my expensive english tanned dressage leathers as well as wonderful for my western tack. Love the wipes for a quick clean up and noticed they prevent molds from forming in our humid summers here in mn. Leather does not get sticky, it stays soft and supple.
I haven't received my order yet, but I have used this product in the past and it works great to restore the leather to a beautiful look.
